Farebrother and Partners was formed in 1963 and became a Member of the Association of Consulting Engineers shortly thereafter. We have since developed a successful and comprehensive service, tailored to suit specific Client requirements, in the fields of Structural and Civil Engineering. The Practice converted to a private limited company in December 2003 and is currently headed by two Directors ably supported by two Associates and dedicated teams of Engineers and Technicians together with Administrative staff.
The size and organization of the Practice has been carefully structured to ensure that every project is closely monitored by a Director, to whom each Client has easy direct access. This personal contact is considered essential to the successful progression of any scheme and ensures the development of sound practical designs which are financially compatible with budgets.
Current working methods employed within the Practice, encompassing networked computer aided design and drawing facilities, enable us to provide a high quality, accurate and timely service that is fully co-ordinated within our in-house disciplines and with fellow members of the Professional Design Team.
The wide range of our expertise allows us to offer Clients a complete “package” of consultancy services in-house. Historically, most of our appointments have been directly with the “Employer” of construction works. In recent years, however, we have been engaged on Design & Construct contracts where we join with the appointed Contractor, either by novation from the Employer or directly in competitive tender with the Contractor. Increasingly our work with Housing Associations and others is undertaken on a Partnering basis.
In our strive for excellence, we have implemented a comprehensive Quality Assurance scheme which gained BS EN ISO 9001:1994 accreditation in March 1997 and is kept under constant review. As a result accreditation to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 was gained in December 2003 and BS EN ISO 9001:2008 was gained in February 2009.
The Midland location of the Practice, coupled with the modern transport network available, allows a comprehensive coverage of the United Kingdom.
