Standard Life Investments speculatively developed one of the last few remaining development plots at Abingdon Business Park, Oxfordshire.
The development comprises two high specification curved roof portal frame buildings with associated access roads and parking.
Continuing our longstanding association with the Client and Architect, we developed the structural solution from an outline scheme design through to working drawings for construction.
Widespread contaminated material was discovered at scheme stage on this previously remediated site. We developed to solution to work around this issue and defined cost plan.
Our brief included:
- Co-ordinate input from Contamination Consultant
- Sub and Superstructure design
- Infrastructure design
- Negotiate drainage approvals from the Local Authority and Environment Agency
