As part of their national restructuring programme for pre cast concrete production facilities, Bison Properties Ltd developed a second building on their site at Cadley Hill, Swadlincote for the production of concrete cube products.
The development comprises a 40m wide x 100m long steel portal framed building with overhead travelling cranes which extend into an external stock yard. The site is a backfilled opencast colliery and the sub and superstructure have been designed to accommodate the potential inundation settlement of the underlying soils.
Farebrothers initially developed an Employers Requirement brief for design and Build tender with novation to Galliford.
Our brief included:
- Procurement of a Site Investigation
- Infrastructure & Structures design for the facility
- Negotiate approvals with Environment & Highways Authority
- Shabbing shed carosel plant
- Batching plant
