To facilitate their expanding food product range, Walkers Snack Foods Limited extended their production facility at Peterlee in County Durham by redeveloping an adjacent industrial development plot.
Continuing with our established relationship with the client and professional design team, Farebrothers provided Civil and Structural engineering.
The development consisted of a steel framed building for production, warehousing and offices, hgv delivery bays and circulation areas and car parking.
In order to facilitate a fastrack programme, we designed and tendered the steel frame package in advance of the overall project.
Our brief included:
- Transportation Assessment
- Infrastructure design
- Sub and superstructure design
- Resolution of planning conditions for drainage and highways matters
- Specifications and Bills of Quantities for Steel frame tender
