The initial project comprised the design and construction of primary infrastructure to service a new Safeway Superstore, including 2.3 km town bypass with 4 No. roundabouts, surface water and foul water sewerage. Our design included allowance for some 50 ha of proposed mixed development on the adjacent lands and included a detailed Transportation Assessment, surface water disposal to 3 No. off-site balancing ponds, watercourse improvement works, a new foul water collector sewer some 4 km long and including a new pumping station (4 No. x 100 kw pumps) and rising main to the existing Sewage Treatment Works.
We were subsequently engaged to design all primary infrastructure within the 30 ha commercial development area comprising Enigma Park. This included all estate roads and sewers (to adoptable standards), together with earthworks and site preparation. Most of the larger buildings constructed within Enigma Park were designed by this Practice.
