The refurbishment and extension of Tooting Leisure Centre formed a part of Wandsworth Borough Council’s general programme of leisure facility upgrading within the Borough in partnership with D.C. Leisure.
Farebrothers, along with the Pozzoni Design Group Architects, were part of the successful Dean & Bowes Contractors Design and Build team.
The project included refurbishment of the existing leisure centre and the addition of a new two storey extension for a new entrance/ reception at ground floor level and an extension of the existing first floor gymnasium.
Our brief included:
- Procurement of a Site Investigation for the new build works
- Substructure and superstructure design for the new build
- Investigation of the existing structure for proposed structural alteration works
- Structural design for structural alteration works associated with the refurbishment of the existing building
