Kings Point at Lord Street is an innovative residential development near the heart of Walsall for developer, Walton Homes Limited.
The site was previously occupied by two commercial properties, one of which was a jewellery plating facility for a number of years.
The ground is contaminated and will be subject to remediation to remove the contaminants.
Made ground, to depth, will be improved to facilitate a mix of medium rise apartment blocks and two and a half storey townhouses totaling 74 dwellings.
External Works design will deviate from usual design guides for estate roads to satisfy the concept of “homezones” and “secure by design“ by seeking to turn the residential streets into public spaces and where vehicle users have equal priority with other road users. In developing the above concepts, we have engaged and consulted in greater detail with the usual planning consultees and also the Fire Brigade and Police.
