SUPERSTORE EXTENSION FOR CO-OP, WHETSTONE, LEICESTER

In order to increase the product range at their Whetstone supermarket the Midlands Co-operative Society have refurbished and extended the store to increase the sales area by a third. A new travel office and entrance lobby have also been designed beneath the existing canopy to the front elevation.
The extension was achieved by a clear span steel lattice framed roof over the retail area whilst meeting tight building and ceiling heights for planning and operational constraints.
