As part of its expansion plan the University of Derby required additional student accommodation close to the University.
Farebrothers were part of the Design and Build team that constructed four storey, load bearing masonry accommodation onto piled foundations around a central quadrangle to house approximately 500 students.
Our brief included
- Design and detail of piled foundations and suspended ground floor slabs
- Design and detail of load bearing masonry superstructure with suspended PCU floors
- Design and detail of external works, levels and drainage
